Getting to know the Dashboard

The WordPress Dashboard is what you will see when you first log into your website. From here, you can add and edit content on your website. This is a brief overview of what your options are from the Dashboard and what some of the major features are.

#1 – Updates

Click here to see what updates are available for your website. You can tell there are updates available if there is a number in a gray circle to the right of “Updates”. It’s a good idea to keep your website plug-ins up to date so if you see an update available, click here to see the updates and install them.

#2 – Posts

Posts are used to create blog posts, testimonials, Q&A entries, and “What we treat” entries. Click here to see the list of posts currently on your website, edit existing posts, or add a new post to your website. There are many posts that come included with your AcuPerfect Website and they are editable from here.

Click here to access widgets and the menu editor. Widgets control the righthand sidebar of your website that includes “Acupuncture in a Nutshell” and your clinic info. Depending on which AcuPerfect Website version you have, there will be more options to edit here.  The menu editor is also found under “Appearance”. Use the menu editor to add, remove, and re-order menu items.
